Masajja Self-help Initiative
MSI Kickstart Campaign – Empowering Masajja, Building Futures
The Masajja Self-help Initiative (MSI) is a newly founded, registered community-based organization in Masajja, Wakiso District, Uganda. We were born out of urgent need: our community is struggling with youth unemployment, poor sanitation, school dropouts, drug abuse, and lack of support for vulnerable groups such as women, mothers, and refugees.
Right now, we have no external funding. Everything we’ve done so far has been fueled by the passion, commitment, and sacrifices of our founding members. But to make a real impact, we need partners to stand with us.
Through this Kickstart Campaign, we are seeking USD 5,000 – 10,000 (UGX 18M – 37M) to:
Organize a Masajja Community Convention to unite residents and spotlight solutions.
Launch pilot programs in youth mentorship, women’s skills training, and sanitation drives.
Set up a modest community office for coordination and accountability.
Every contribution—no matter the size will help us turn hope into action, giving young people alternatives to crime, empowering women, and making Masajja a safer, healthier, and more dignified place to live.
✨ Together, we can build a model of grassroots transformation in Uganda.
